Elena Pattini is a PhD in Psychology, Psychologist and Systemic-Relational Psychotherapist, and research fellow at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Parma.

She is part of the research group of Prof. Giacomo Rizzolatti and both are among the founders of Empaticalab, a research and dissemination center of empathy. Starting from the theory of mirror neurons, Dr. Pattini as coordinator of the Scientific Committee, is responsible for ensuring the scientificity of the contents of the activities and courses of Empaticalab.

She has a consolidated experience in research projects in the field of autism and family stress from a psychobiological point of view. She is also part of the Stress Control Lab research group led by Prof. Andrea Sgoifo, at the Italian College of Osteopathy for which she deals with the analysis of non-verbal behavior and psychometric data
